"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things: give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee." Paul, 1Timothy 4: 14-16
In obedience to this inspired command, ministers called upon by God come together at IATS to do precisely what the Lord has with great detail ordained in this text. Upon improving our understanding and polishing our professional skills in this exacting line of service, we must also open the avenues of our souls, in order to receive influence from the very Spirit that inspired the Word we are trying to understand, so that that Spirit may bless the saints through us.
Even though we will always be imperfect in the ministry, our understanding of God’s Word, and our service, must always go in search of better roads, clearer meanings, and simplicity of the eternal truth as related to our current lives. Upon doing this, we perpetuate the miracle of the incarnation when God comes to abide in the hearts of His people. Do all that is in your power to renew your spirit and also your mind, your heart and also your hand, your devotion as well as your loyalty to the Word of God, to the call of God, to the church of God, and to the people of God.
